Community Education
A key component to our mission here at Hand in Hand Water Safety Awareness Foundation is not only to provide swim lessons through our outreach programs, but also to educate the community, including, but not limited to, parents, children, teachers, and healthcare professionals. We know that drowning is a global epidemic, and our own community is certainly not immune. We also know that water safety education is a key component to preventing drowning-related accidents, which is why it is a priority at Hand in Hand to be as accessible to our Triad community as possible. We do this by providing educational materials to local healthcare providers, appearing at local community events, and making presentations at local childcare centers, schools, and businesses.
